Creating, tracking, and ultimately keeping goals has never been easier.

Want to learn a new language? Save money? Get in shape? Whatever your goal may be, in order to accomplish it, you need to hold yourself accountable to that goal.

With goly you can easily create goals and get automated reminders to track your progress against them at predefined intervals. The goly method draws on the time-tested, results-oriented approach of its creator, using quantifiable goals and evaluating incremental progress at regular intervals to help you achieve success against a larger objective.

The app allows you to...
- Create new goals
- Specify a target indicating success for that goal
- Select timeframes over which to measure success and failure for that goal
- Create simple "yes / no" goals, or more complex numeric goals
- Get automated reminders to check in on your progress
- View your history over a certain goal, and drill down into that history.

With goly, your loftiest goals are within your reach!

About the goly method:

The goly method breaks down a larger objective into a series of smaller, more attainable goals, with progress against those smaller goals evaluated at regular intervals. At its essence, it seeks to transform a lofty goal into a behavioral habit that gets the user to the underlying goal over time.

For instance, suppose you wish to become fluent in French. You could set a goal of becoming fluent in French by, say, January of next year. But how will you know in September whether you are on track to complete your goal by January? Are you halfway to fluent? How do you measure fluency? This goal is difficult to achieve because it is difficult to measure over such a long timeframe.

If instead we substitute a smaller, more measurable and achievable habit for the larger goal, we can easily track our progress. How much French would you need to speak on a weekly basis to become fluent by January? Suppose you can commit to a 30-minute conversation in French three times a week. Then, every night, you can simply answer whether you had a 30-minute conversation in French that day, and when you get to the end of the week, if youve done 3, you know youre on track to complete your larger goal.

The goly method creates habits out of the behaviors that lead to success by reinforcing those behaviors in the short term. Furthermore, small setbacks dont overwhelm the whole project; breaking a larger goal down into shorter-term behaviors means that if you miss your goal once -- say, you are out of town and unable to find a French partner for a week -- you can still achieve success in the next timeframe.

The creator of this app has employed the goly method to lose 20 pounds, learn to play along to his favorite songs on guitar, and even create this app!

Use the goly method -- and the goly app -- to track the habits that will help you achieve your loftiest goals!
